However, you can still adjust your privacy settings to control users who can see your connections, remove followers you don’t want, block or restrict certain users, or change your account type to restrict some users.
All of these depend on whether your account is public, private, personal, or professional.
How to Hide Instagram Followers and Following
If you want to hide your followers and following lists, a simple method to use is to make your Instagram account private.
This way, users would need your approval before they can follow you and see your posts and connections.
Simply go to your Profile, click the Menu, then Settings and Activity. Click on Account privacy, and turn on Private account.
Only your approved followers will be able to see your follower and following lists.
How to Hide Instagram Followers From Certain People
If you just want to hide your followers from certain people, and not everybody, a simple way to do that is to identify and block them.
When you block an Instagram user, they will not be able to access your profile, including your follower and following lists.
If your account is private, another option is to remove them as your followers.
Check your followers list, find the person you don’t want to see your followers, and tap Remove.
The good news is that Instagram will not notify the person that you’ve removed him.
How to Hide your Followers From Friends on a private account
Your friends are supposedly people who already follow your account, so it’s difficult to hide your followers list from your followers since they are your connections.
If you’re on a private account, the only thing you can do is to remove them as your approved follower.
If you don’t want the person to be able to view your profile anymore, you can simply block him.

The problem is that it’s difficult to tighten your privacy settings when your account is public
A public account is accessible to everyone, and obviously, they can access your connections and more information about you than when you’re on a private account
Therefore, if you really want to limit the people who can have access to your profile, followers and followings, it’s advisable to switch to a private account instead.
How to Hide Followers on an Instagram Business Account
Instagram business accounts are professional accounts, so their privacy options differ from those of personal accounts.
In fact, professional accounts are generally designed for more exposure to the public, and you cannot make them private in the same way as personal accounts.
If you want to hide your followers, you would have to switch from a business/professional account to a personal account, then enable Private account.
Remember that professional accounts have some important features such as insights, advertising, contact options, and other business tools, so you should think twice if you really have to let go of those features for privacy.
If your business account is kept public, then there is no way you can completely hide your followers and following lists.
